Patrick Binakis is a former bank (creditors rights) attorney who now specializes in defending individuals and families in New York who have been served with foreclosure actions.
Prior to starting the Law Offices of Patrick Binakis, P.C., Mr. Binakis worked as an associate foreclosure attorney at all stages of the process. His work as a tax controversy and litigation associate attorney went well beyond the courtroom, serving as a bi-monthly publisher for the firm’s newsletter, guest speaker at the firm’s seminars and daily contributor to the firm’s pro bono outreach group.
Patrick Binakis is the founding member and managing partner of our law offices. As an experienced litigation attorney, Mr. Binakis primarily focuses his practice on defending borrowers against banks and lenders attempting to foreclose on their homes. With nearly a decade of experience as a New York State foreclosure attorney, Mr. Biankis has represented in banks, loan servicing companies, individuals and families — collecting invaluable knowledge from every side of the bench on how to best serve homeowners at risk of losing their property.
Considerate of the obstacles current homeowners face, Mr. Binakis has dedicated his practice to providing borrowers with unprecedented foreclosure defense in a cost-effective manner. In addition to consistently publishing articles with updates on new trends and laws as it pertains to foreclosure defense, Mr. Binakis has made a point to volunteer his time at pro bono foreclosure clinics and was awarded the March 2017 pro bono attorney of the month award in Nassau County.
Mr. Binakis earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Biology from Adelphi University, New York. After completing his undergraduate degrees, Mr. Binakis obtained his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
